Yes, it's the pipe. If you want a higher-revving pipe, talk to Jemco... he knows how to do that. His pipes were designed for street use, but he also does race pipes.

Kevin,

Stock or lightly modified ports are a little small to make power above 8k. If anyone has the dimensions for a set of Jemco's I'd like to run them through the software and see how they look.

They don't "look" as if they are too short, but they are very small diameter to support large BMEP numbers.

I think that it is amazing that Lane's pipes make power from 6-8000. There must be quite a difference between the 750 and 550 pipes.

My jemcos come on strong at about 5400 and fall off the cliff at 6700. Of course my engine is in a much milder state of tune.
