I have an angle grinder, dremmel and electric drill - does that constitute a low cost machining center for the cases, or you think I need something more sophisticated?

Whose work of art is that motor? For some time I've had a vision of the ultimate Water Buffalo street sweeper. An Arctic Cat Thundercat 1000cc triple ( built by Suzuki), hooked to a suitable tranny, and a set of good pipes to replace the factory 3/1 collector. I figure an easy 200 HP, Monster torque, and it loosely fits the name parameters as Suzuki was the actual manufacturer of the motor. By the looks of that picture, someone was listening to my brain waves floating around. Although, I suspect the buffalo frame may object. Cheers.

It looks unfinished as the power valves havent been cut in yet

Dave - the more I look at that photo, the more I'm wondering if its Photoshop'd - do you have any more info about it at all ?

That's way more than you ought pay for a CNC machine these days. My Bridgeport Series I Rigid Ram only cost me $1200. Granted it needed a complete controls retrofit, but still.

Ian,

That's a billet Yamaha Banshee/RZ case with (I think) Honda CR barrels and heads. It's NOT photoshop'd.

There are a couple of Companies in the US doing billet cases and supplying hot-up parts to fit in Banshees (four-wheelers).
Yes, it's very trick, and yes it's very expensive, but they really know their stuff.

There's a guy here in Oz - http://www.twostrokeshop.com on-selling these parts.
He'll do a 500cc Banshee motor'ed Aprilia RS250 for you for about AUS$15000 if you like...

Troll through that website and check the stuff he's doing - you'll be blown away.

Cheers
