GT750 520 chain conversion

Post by ben james »

Building a GT750 racebike & want to use 520 chain, anyone know of compatible sprockets.
I run 520 on my TR500 & T250 race bike.

Front sprocket you want is a JT part# JTF437 available in 14,15 & 16 tooth, haven't figured out rear but can machine Talon blank if I have to

Ben,

If you have a stock OEM transmission I am sure that a front sprocket for a Kawasaki H2 fits (see if they list a 520) and so do TZ350 Yamaha IIRC.

There are a few other bikes with the same spline size the difference is in thickness at the splines. That may effect offset.

If you use a GS750, GSX750 or 1100 transmission with closer ratios, you can use GSXR sprockets or RD400.

At the rear, you should be able to get your local sprocket guys to machine one to fit.
