The bike only competes at Nostalgia Meets, it runs at street meets and test & tunes for time only as well. The only rules at Nostalgia is "Classic Bike":- Pre 1985. Yes we could run a slick and wheelie bars but we just want a "Street Legal" (except for the loud pipes) GT 750 to run 10 seconds. It is registered for the road, I swap it back to stock pipes for the annual inspection, all lights and horn work. It is foot shifted, no air shifter or quick shifter (no ignition kill).
Hopefully it won't be long before you get that 10.99, it looks and sounds fantastic.

Last weekend at Sydney Dragway's IHRA T&T 10.959 @ 120.31 mph :-), backed up by 10.985 @ 120.13 and 11.017 @ 119.30 mph. Brett Copping riding and now using the Flannery Motorsports modified GT cylinder head, so full Flannery top end and expansion chambers.

Congratulations! That's fantastic for a 42-year-old street bike. How did it feel when you saw that first 10.9?

That's a great pic

Looking at the slip, I thought the reaction time of 0.016 seconds was amazing, then I checked the earlier slip you posted, and the r/t there was 0.017  , your rider Brett has a gunfighter's reactions and no mistake.

Dave,
Raised the compression a little and reduced the squish clearance a little.

Awesome results Bob and congrats to your rider.

With domes in the head you can do that squish thing. I still have a stock head with no squish band which could be part of my 111 issue. Need more horses. :?

I have forgotten, but do you still have BS40 carbs or did you change to something more suitable?

Richard,
I've fitted 40mm Lectrons, unfortunately no dyno figures, now I'm retired there is no $s for dyno sessions. Once we have it going as quick as we think it can go we will fit the BS40CVs again to put it in the 10s with them.

I had forgotten that Lectons were a factory option in Australia on stock bikes

I see I need to get a set from Australia to run in the "Stock" class here..

Well it was worth a try
