Ben, did you ever get this to rev properly? If so what was the issue? I had a similar problem (not quite so pronounced) with mine in the early days and it ended up being pipe dimensions. I also found to my surprise as we retarded the ignition timing (Zeeltronics) it kept making more power.

Re: TR500 won't rev over 6000rpm
I did get the problem solved. After I replaced the fuel tap I took the bike out to local track at Broadford. Short 2 km track. First session bike cut out after 2 laps. Took bike back to pits & it started again. Took bike out again & it cut out again after 2 laps. Was revving to 8000 rpm though. Pulled R/H cylinder off & had partial seizure. Was advised when I bought bike to run oil pump at about half & 100:1 fuel mix. Problem was not enough oil. Replaced Piston honed bore & ran 25:1 fuel oil mix & no further problems. Bike has ran 3 race meetings without a problem.

Re: TR500 won't rev over 6000rpm
Hello Ben,
I holed a piston the first time I took my Seeley T500 on track. Suspected cause was fuel starvation due to the taps not flowing enough fuel at full throttle. I replaced them with taps designed to flow methanol, which of course provide a much higher flow than petrol taps. I run pre-mix only at 20:1 (Castrol A747)
glad you got yours sorted
Cheers Geoff
