I am simply curious if the gt550 or gt750 motors will fit into a t500/gt500 frame? Motor mounts line up? sprocket position? exhaust chamber exit position?
Thanks all -

Hi,no, & if the bigger motors were to fit....they would simply over power the frame !!
Cheers,
Roger.

Okay ... so by that logic, how does it work when people put 600/1000cc street bike motors into a 250/450 dirt bike frame for hill climbing? But thanks anyway, I didn't think they would fit without modification.

750 is a very long motor compared to almost anything. 550 isn't so much larger but for the costs involved, I would think It's easier to make a 500 twin perky enough.
I'm all for frankenbikes and all sorts of outrageous modifications, but I don't see the merit unless you have a good 500 rolling chassis without a motor and a cheap 550 motor in excellent condition.
