I was more thinking along the lines of finding a suitable six speed g/box in the Buffalo. I already know how the GS750 ones work out with doing those. I wish there was someway to get centreline points so knowing how far away the selector drum and forks were on the various g/boxes out there.
Somehow I feel a Kawasaki model might be the answer to this dilema.

That's OK mike. I'll keep an eye out for it while I try to finish off the Dunstall and get it running and fine tuned. When you get time, I'd like to get it lined up on the test crankcase and see what is possible.

You could be right. the advantage of staying with Suzuki is that they changed incrementally from year to year and one year's design was usually based on the prior design. Honda by comparison seemed to have more of a clean slate design approach and I have no idea what Kawasaki did but some of their transmissions were upside down with the selector drum above the gear shafts. That is harder to adapt. If you have a more modern Kawaski box to play with, go for it.
