I was wondering about opinions for good reliable clutch fiber plates. I've researched some of the other posts in the past and it sounds like the stock plates can handle 100hp. On my RZ350 drag race engine, I used Yamaha 100cc plates that fit perfectly and added a considerable amount of fiber plate surface area. Is there Suzuki fiber plates available for a larger displacement engine that have more friction surface area??

Years ago we looked into useing the clutch plates from a early GS750 , they are the same size as the GT's but thinner . We were looking at a way to cut the plate carrier to stack a extra GS plate .

Thanks Dave. I meant Yamaha fzr 1000cc plates in my description post. I have my RZ drag race engine in my street RZ and it's a hoot to ride

I've had excellent results with a Barnett kit with kevlar plates from John at Sudco in my highly modified H2 kaw engine. I didn't even have to use "Charles Atlas" springs either to get them to handle it. Give him a call because he probably has the Zuk plates too FWIW

you could also try ALTO Red Eagle plates. They have a catalog on their website and you can lookup drawings that will help you cross reference. You might end up adding a friction and steel plate to get your stack height but well worth it. Im using ALTOs on my GT750 race bike using stock springs with no sign of slipping.
