What exactly do you mean by that? Are you referring to the rubber exhaust bushings on the frame for the exhaust mounts?

The pipes need to be able to float on the rubber bush on the rear mount point - often what happens is folks draw them up tight. What you need to do is use a couple of small washers typically on either side to ensure the centre of the bush is the only part drawn tight against the muffler hanger and the bolt. Once bolted up - you should be able to move the rear of the exhaust a bit as the bush flexes.
