Squish heads are intrinsically less prone to detonation that stock quiescent combustion chambers, but there's a fine line there that you want to avoid crossing.

1mm is a little tight on the squish band if the bike is revved hard on pump gas.

I have do my squish band head cylinders.
In France we have gazoline 98 octane and with this gazoline i can put 0.9mm squish band ( with a 21cm3)
So, my question was just to know how much you put on a street bike with lower gazoline octane.

what differance would these squish heads make .
would you need to do other work like porting to make these work.
If I wanted to make a life-long career out of
working with the mentally retarded I would
have opened a Harley Davidson Dealership
