Does anyone know if the bike cooling is any better without the ram air cover on a GT380?
Cheers

The cooling is slightly better with the Ramair cover fitted, it creates a venturi effect over the cylinder head. However, when Suzi hotted up the GT250 with the A model (extra transfer ports, more power), they removed the Ramair cover
So you can probably conclude that if you're not racing, you're unlikely to get critical heat build-up (especially in the UK
).
I think the aircooled triples look unfinished without the cover, but that's just my personal opinion.

How do you hot up a 2-stroke engine? I seem to remember reading about it a long time ago and it involved enlarging the port length but I can't remember much about it.Craig380 wrote:However, when Suzi hotted up the GT250 with the A model (extra transfer ports, more power), they removed the Ramair cover
