Old subject but... I just got an Omar's torque cannon 3 into 1. Does anyone know anything about this pipe? suggestions as to jetting?

I have tried to email them but have received no answers.

So, no one knows anything about these? They claim lower end to mid range torque. Does this mean that the mains can stay the same and I need to use larger pilots? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Compared to what - stock or their 3 chambers?

I'd go up say 4 sizes on the mains and one clip on the needles to start with and work back from there. I just added an O2 sensor and air:fuel gauge to my 3 into 1 to see what is going on. I really need RPM, TPS and slide position to create a full 3D map to work out what to change but it will help.

Did you get a wideband? I have an Powerdex AFX Wideband (made by NGK) with an NTK O2 sensor on my Ford Focus. Its been in use for about a year, and a half, and works perfectly. Its not really recommended for a two stroke though, but will work. Supposed to drastically reduce the lifespan of the O2 sensor.

I welded the adapter bung onto the pipe a couple of nights ago and wired it all up. Mine is a Bosch 5 wire digital UEGO with a digital display and data logging output from Innovate. It can't stay in there for long because the oil will drastically shorten its life. It's a diagnostic tool and remains it be seen just how easy it is to use.

I'd like to hook up three EGT sensors, TPS (that will be a challenge), RPM sensor and small data logger but that's a whole lot of meal/drink vouchers that I need to earn first. :wth: That way I could see what throttle and RPM conditions were weak and adjust to suit. It would be nice to grab slide position too with a small linear potentiometer, but we both know that isn't going to happen. :lol: I can log directly to a laptop, which should be fine for the dyno where I can watch the process.

A modern ECU/EFI would be nice to see the 3D map of actual Lambda results plotted against TP and RPM, but my carbutetted bike is just few electrons short of that capability.

I do have a box of main jets and slow jets and a couple of choices of needle jet to see if I can get it into the ball park with the new low restriction "muffler" and for the track I'll slide a thin wall tube inside the muffler tube to turn it into a smaller diameter stinger just for kicks. Then I'll need to rinse and repeat for a change in pipes if I get serious :shock:

I'll be interested to hear that OMAR's pipe and to see what it does on a dyno. Would be fun to compare to a Strader from back in the day now that we have several muffler designs between us. Hey mister, you show me yours and I'll show you mine. - Dyno chart that is. :roll:

Thanks guys. The claim was better low end to mid range torque over stock pipes and huge weight saving.

i'll try the mains and clips and see what happens. More of a seat of the pants evaluation than the aforementioned though.

Huge weight saving is absolutely correct. I like certain aspects of that design and one of these days I'd love to see a dyno chart. Maybe I should buy a (winning) lottery ticket and get one to test. :shock: :lol:
