I picked up a spare carb body from a salvage today, Almost all the buffalo carbs they had were a complete set and they wouldn't let me part them. I did however find a lonely left carb body at carb mountain. Brought it home and tried to clean it but it was too far gone. I'm sure there were quite a few more there but there isn't enough time in a week to go through them all.

So I pulled apart my left carb for what had to be the 10th time. More ultrasonic cleaning with simple green and water, about the 5th can of carb cleaner, threw it back together and it runs on all three! Don't have a seat at the moment so I didn't get much of a feel for it but it is so much better.

I went to Sport Wheels Salvage and it has to be the largest in the country. It was amazing. I could barely contain myself. There had to be at least 200 gt's and titans that were mostly complete. The only rule is no wire cutting. Only five buffalo's though (that I found, too many bikes to go through) 2 still turned over! Picked up a nice petcock, an extra flasher unit, the S badge for the gauges, an extra set of carb boots with clamps, a foot rest, the carb, brake reservoir gasket, and various nuts and bolts. My Dad even found a side cover for his X6 Hustler scrambler! It was only $100 for everything.

It was all around a good day.. I am only about 60 miles from this salvage, If anybody needs a hard to find part, let me know and I will look for it the next time I go!

Thanks for the help guys!

Just out of curiosity, whats the difference and application? One is longer and has passages and the other is solid?
Also what's the difference between carb bowls marked with an I's or J's?
