Look what I found!
A blog by someone that used to be an active member here until he gave up racing T500's. And from the dates of some of the entries, looks like it was while he was racing the T500:

Re: Look what I found!
Am curious what Yamaha chassis he used for the T500 motor.
From his blog (quote order reversed from postings) ...
"He raced a Suzuki T500, like I was at the time."
"At one point I had the largest collection of cracked left hand T500 cylinder heads in the world, rivaled only by my pile of broken crankshafts."
"As the riding improved, so did the bike. Weaknesses were addressed, special cylinder heads from the UK were purchased to solve the cracking issues, a very expensive aftermarket ignition eliminated the need for a battery and a Yamaha chassis modified to take the Suzuki T500 engine helped in the handling department. Cubic dollars were spent."

Re: Look what I found!
I believe it was an RD350. I know Zooke's T500/Yamaha special was based on an RD350. Although it could also be an early TZ350. I recall it being a dual shock machine.jabcb wrote:Am curious what Yamaha chassis he used for the T500 motor.

Re: Look what I found!
Hi
Interesting would like to se pictures I race a T500 in a Yamaha TR350 chassis in the Spanish Classic series and it handles really well. My forks are 35mm form a early TZ they are a bit worn and I would like to replace them so I am still searching another set. I Run a single disc with Lockheed set up. I will try a different pad material as the single disc is on the limit at some tracks.
Cheers
Eamonn
