Its hard to believe I took these videos back in the summer of 2010. Having a camera with 1080P or 720P resolution was a really big deal back then.

Thanks for the reply, I sort of follow the posted speed limits to avoid issues with seeing flashing blue lights behind me. LOL.

Ah yes, the dreaded blue lights! Pesky things that swarm like flies. Sometimes you can get rid of them with a flick of the wrist (usually the right one), but then occasionally you get a sticky one that doesn't seem to leave you alone. Very annoying things. Do you know anyone that has a permanent cure for this scourge yet?
I have heard that you attract less of the blighters if you ride slowly, but that would take all the fun out of biking.
I guess I'll just have to keep swatting them one by one, but it seems to be taking a long time. I think they are breeding faster than I can eradicate them.
I've written to my MP asking him if the government can get rid of them. He hasn't replied but I did get a visit from a couple of guys wearing black a day or so later. They kept muttering something about being unreasonable. Unreasonable! Moi?! What tosh.
Fortunately, I think my letter must have worked though. I hear that the government are reducing the number of the blue lights each year because they are costly, apparently. Maybe they will phase them out slowly. Now wouldn't that be good?!

They dont need to chase you, just get your number. The UK has to be the worse for watching traffic, all those cameras everywhere to get some coin from those who go even the slightest bit over.

Yes, its practically criminal how the innocent (almost) motorist gets fleeced in the UK. Now they have introduced 20mph speed limits in lots of places. It makes being a delivery driver very difficult. No employer gives you more time to deliver because you are forced to go slow. So you either drive fast until you see a camera, then slow down or... drive slow all the time and finish work an hour or more later every day. Or skip legally mandated breaks to make up the time.
It is inconvenient. I know they justify it by saying it saves lives, but why punish drivers for running pedestrians over, when it is usually the pedestrian's fault for crossing without looking?
Fix the pedestrian's road sense instead.
Maybe fine them for "dangerous walking" when they cross the road without any consideration for traffic.
