RV125 Restoration - Suzuki Parts & Numbers Cross reference

Post by Ben »

Hi All!

I am rebuilding a 1975 Suzuki RV125. Never had a Suzuki, lots of Hondas though.

I am looking for various parts (see below) and not sure how to cross reference Suzuki part numbers. Stuff I am looking for should not be too unique to the RV125? Any tips?

Specifically, I am trying to find:

Headlight Ring
Headlight
Speedo
Tach
Turn Signals

Any help or pointers is most appreciated!

Thanks
Ben

The easiest way is to go to a web site with the on line parts listings, look up your part number for your model (I used the listings on the Alpha Sports site) , and then plug that part number into a 'Quick Part Search' box to get a listing of the models that used it (I used the one on the Power Sports Pro site). In this case - the headlamp rim appears to be a 35111-27630, and when I punch that number into a parts search it lists as being used on the 1973 - 1977 GT250, 1976 - 1977 GT500, 1973 - 1976 TS185, 1973 - 1976 TS250, and 1973 - 1976 TS400 . Its a slow process, but its free ! 8)

Hi i also have an Rv125 that i want to restore. i was wondering where you found your gasket set for your bike. i noticed you also have the high low range four speed engine which i have gathered is somewhat rare because i cannot really find any info on it. thanks!

The trick to hard to find parts such as entire gasket kits is to order them off of

Ebay.co.uk or ebay.fr both of which have plenty of old rv stock.

The cavet is make sure its not for modern generation RV125'S which clogs up the listings.

This guy has a few bits... I don't mind being a spring boad to the states, if you need something. As this guy is here in the uk. I had a RV125 back in the day.. Was so much fun.. :up: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/m.html?_odkw= ... &_from=R40" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

my RV125 came in from Michigan two years ago and its a beauty 2k miles in 41 years and its like brand new - the weather out there must be kinder to old bikes than it is here in the U.K

I have two RV125's
The nicest of the two had 79 miles when I bought it and other than a bare spot where paint was missing on the front wheel was like the day it was uncrated in 1975.
