1972 RV 90 - oil injector

Post by Korps »

Hi ...new to the forum ... I just purchased a 1972 RV 90 ... I don't have a lot of experience with 2 stroke's ... can anyone tell me how to determine if the oil injector is working?

Thanks!

The easiest way is to remove the CCI line from oil pump itself and start the engine. While its runnng at idle hold the lever on the oil pump fully open. In a short space of time the two white output oil lines should start showing air bubbles moving outwards from the oil pump since you have removed the source of incoming oil.
Space is critical in those engine cases where you are going to be working so clean the area well to avoid any misreadings.
Two strokes, its just that simple.
