Decal ?

Post by dennisd »

I have a '72 TM 250j I am hoping to restore.
All the pics I find shows it to have the black stripes on tank however in my parts catalogue it shows the J does not have stripes, only the K model does does .
Please let me know which is correct.
TIA,
Dennis

This site is a good source for general info: http://www.suzukicycles.org

Here is an official TM250J brochure that’s on the above site:

Thanks for the info, very appreciated. I have already bought the stripes from Diablo, just wanted to be sure the '72 had them since parts book showed otherwise. Trying to get everything right before I ship off to have painted.
Thought maybe I had wasted my money on the stripes so that's good news.Plus it will def look better with stripes IMO.

The brochure has an amusing typo.
Highest rpm two stroke bike: maximum output of 30hp is at 75,000 rpm (Yes it has 3 zeros)

Agreed on the stripe. The Emblem looks like its in the wrong place without the stripe.
