Daily driver of a 1980 Suzuki 250ts... old wire harness
My bike currently runs ok when it's not raining but as soon as I hit a little dampness the bike grounds out and jumps sporadically till I shift down finally turning off. My hypothesis is that some of the wire harnesses are bare and grounding out on the bike when it gets wet. So to fix this should I go crazy with electrical tape or buy a new harness. .. but of course I wanted to go the easy way and just buy the two harnesses. Come to find out the harness are obsolete. Does anyone know what other harnesses from maybe other makes models or years for the same hook ups and measurement s as the 1980 Suzuki 250 ts.

A home made one will be the only option unless someone has one stashed away 'just in case'.
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

This guy: http://www.classicsuzukiparts.nl/2strok ... 0parts.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
has one advertised. But given the price you can make your own way cheaper.
The Suzuki connectors are still available from suppliers of vintage electrical fittings. You can even buy the plastic covers if you shop around.

Your TS250 has PEI ignition so there isn't much wiring associated with the ignition system.
You should consider other potential issues such as a bad coil HT lead.
