Some websites limit the filesize of images Bob.
You probably need to learn to 'Optimise' your images... make the digital size smaller.
For the purposes of web forum use, the filesize never needs to be more than 200k (a fifth of a megabyte).
Width or height shouldn't be more than 1200dpi at 70dpi.
If all this sounds like greek to you, do a bit of searching on the web.
You can get free applications that automatically reduce (optimise) filesize of an image for you.
