You coils are probably fine.

O/W wire (orange/white wire) goes from the kill switch to the coil.
If the O/W wire has no voltage, then there is no power going to the coils & the bike will not run.

Look for all of the O wires (orange wires) in the headlight bucket.
Only one of them connects to the ignition switch.
So if they are unplugged, only one of them has voltage when the key is on.

Connect all of the O wires (orange wires) in the headlight bucket together.
The O wires (orange wires) should not connect up to any other type of wire in the headlight bucket.

Wiring is never easy for us mere mortals at the best of times, but trying to resolve these issues via the forum is near impossible. If you have no power in the ignition, it seems logical to me that the kill switch circuit is the problem, especially as we know you have had it apart. I can't remember, do the wires from the kill switch go into the h/lamp bucket? Or do they join the main loom under the tank near the coils? When you connected the power from the kill switch to the rear light, did the switch turn the light on and off?

Just checked. The kill switch wiring goes into the headlight bucket on my T500.

Yes the light came on as the switch was set to run. All orange wires except one are connected but when I connect it to that one it lights up the tail light. No spark either

Another problem Is the wiring that comes out of the kill switch I can see an orange and an o/w and when the loom enters the bucket its a solid orange and a white with a little red sleeve also a matching wire in headlight bucket. That should go to am orange?

I'm not 100% sure what you just meant.

Did you mean that the kill switch wires are orange & O/W at the switch. But where those wires end in the headlight bucket, one is orange & the other is W (white)? (The O/W wire is spliced to a W wire.)

Or did you mean the kill switch wires are orange & O/W. In the headlight bucket orange is connected to orange & O/W is connected to white with the little red sleeve?

The wires from the kill switch are an orange and an orange/white stripe. Then as they exit the loom in the headlight bucket I have a solid white and an orange.

Disconnect both kill switch wires.

Connect the kill switch orange wire to the other orange wires.
Connect the white wire to the O/W wire.

See if you get spark.

Throughout my troubleshooting I'm pretty sure I've already done it. Still nothing at the coils

Do you have voltage at all of the orange wires in the headlight bucket?
If not, which ones have ~12V & which ones don't.

Do you have all of the orange wires in the headlight bucket connected together?
If not, what are the other orange wires connected to?

The only hot orange I have is the one with the connector for two male connections in it, which is the one that illuminated taillight. But when I did as you directed with orange to orange and white to orange and white and the tail light did not illuminate but still no voltage at the coils nor would it turn over. The only other hot wire is the brown when the dimmer switch is flipped. I also have the ground wire coming into the bucket which had a dual connector on it (this was the wire that ground the headlight) so I got another connection and tried to put the orange into that and nothing still. I understand that there isn't much you guys can do online but I really appreciate you bearing with me. I'm definitely making progress its just a nightmare with the way these people wired this bike. Once again, any more ideas would be greatly appreciated. On a side note I do have aftermarket yagusa coils. Is there anything I could have done that would have caused the coils to blow? Thanks -jacob

the solid white and the orange are handbrake light wires.the white goes to the tail light brake light.the orange is power(live)wire.

He thinks its a bad earth somewhere. when the ign is on and dimmer switch on, testing the battery it drops .01 practically per second. 12.46-12.45-12.44 etc. Also noticed a loose wire that had been cut and left exposed which is connected to the metal mount for the turn signal relay, what is that for and where should it be? Thanks for your time - Jacob
the black wire should be from the turn signal.black one side, green the other side.

what colour are the coil wires.if they are orange wire and white wire on one and orange wire and black wire on the other I would suspect you have the pre kill switch loom.if the coil wires are orange/white and white on one and orange/white and black on the other you have kill switch loom.I could be wrong but you may have an earlier loom hence no orange/white in the headlight.if you are in doubt connect all wires except kill switch.(because you have no orange/white to connect to.)

Coil wires are two orange a white and a black going into the junction box. Coming out of the junction are two orange/white a white and a black. The switch loom is separate from the main harness
