I could be wrong but I don't think I have the taillight switch from the handbrake. There is an orange/white in headlight bucket only female connection though

I think we are getting closer to figuring this out.

Could you post some more pics.
Make sure we can see what each of the orange wires connects to.
Make sure we can see what each wire coming from the right hand controls (stop light switch & kill switch) connects to.

Also do something so we can tell which pics are the original ones you posted & which ones are new.

Do you want me to connect all orange to orange and white to white in headlight bucket? Everything's just in different spots because of troubleshooting. I'll connect the white with red sleeve to white with red sleeve. The Orange from killswitch I'm really not sure where that is to go. Let me go get a few good pics n I'll upload to photobucket

All the new pics are in my mobile uploads. I tried to put a small description in all the new pictures. All new ones are in mobile upload. But if you see any in my bucket with writing other than old on it read those as well. I'm really hoping to get this thing back on the road by the end on the night tonight. Thanks guys

the solid white and the orange are handbrake light wires.the white goes to the tail light brake light.the orange is power(live)wire.
Where does the orange live wire connect too. I think that's the last wire im down too.

Tried the link & it said "This album is Private."

One of the orange wires runs from the ignition switch to the headlight bucket.
That orange wire supplies the 12V power to the headlight bucket.

The other orange wires connect to it & supply the 12V power to the rest of the bike.

You have 2 wiring looms that come from the right handlebar.

The kill switch wires. In the 3rd pic (pre headlight bucket) you identify the wire colors as orange & O/W.
This is expected.

In the last pic (kill switch loom 3/31/14) you identify the kill switch wire colors as orange & white + red band.
This is not expected.
Those should be the wires for the stop light switch.

------------------------------

Step #1) confirm that the wiring loom in the last pic (kill switch loom 3/31/14) originates at the stop light switch.

Step #2) connect the 2 white + red band wires together, as show in this pic of yours:
http://i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o52 ... ln1akx.jpg

Step #3) connect the 2 O/W wires together
This pic shows one of the O/W wires:
http://i1146.photobucket.com/albums/o52 ... qrlbwt.jpg

Step 3) Take more pics of the wires in the headlight bucket.
Take pics of all of the orange wires (both connected & unconnected).

If you were unable to do step #2 or step #3, take pics to show why.

I am unable to connect the o/w's together because i only have one female orange/white no male. I honestly don't believe I have a front brake light switch. If so it has never worked. I have white with red plugged into the white with red. The other two wires I have are the Orange originating from the same loom and an orange and white which enters the headlamp bucket from the main harness. I also updated photo bucket with 2 or 3new pics

Look at the underside of the throttle & brake controls.
Do you see the front brake switch that is shown in this pic of my T500?

Suzuki added the front brake switch around 1970.
You have an early-model front brake lever.

Connect the 3 orange wires together.
Connect the white + red band wire from the kill switch to the O/W wire.

Check to see if this gives you ~12V for the 3 orange wires.
If so, check to see if you have ~12V at the coils.

I did this and the tailight did not come on. I saw a spark come from the connections in the headlight bucket. Idk if something happened. I think I'm getting voltage at the coils I saw 8.5 ~. Now when I try to kick the bike the kick starter is throwing back on me hard. Does that have something to do with the points? Its almost like it's firing n kicking back

read carefully.the orange/white in the headlight bucket should connect to the kill switch.if you do not have a handbrake light you will have a spare orange and a white with red tip(these two are female because the handbrake wires are male).these two are only for front brake.the two orange/white from coil merge to one which joins with orange/white in killswitch.when killswitch is used orange/white kills power to coil stoping motor.orange from killswitch goes to any orange in bucket as they are all live.power is still on in kill switch till key is off.all orange wires are live with key on.also black is not ground or earth,black/white is earth,eg,headlight bulb yellow and white for hi and lo and black/white for earth.also if you dont have kill switch wires correct motor will not start because kill switch has cut power to coils.

Probably time to recharge your battery.
Later today I'll look at the pics to see if I can figure that out.

Do you have any headlight bucket wires that aren't connected to anything?
Which ones?
