alternator removal, gt380

Hi everyone
i'm just about to do an overhaul of my gt380 engine and after studying both the cymer and haynes manuals i can only see one area which is troubling me and i would prefer clarification on, if possible.
There is an explanation on how to remove the alternator, but i just don't really understand it. Does anyone have any tips on this? I mean, is there something already out there on the net which explains this better, or has a member already done it, for example?
And can anyone warn me of other difficult parts to remove - either on the alternator side or the other side (clutch) - although looking at the manual this looked straight forward enough.
