Temporary toggle switch ignition

Post by DDudley »

I've decided to run a toggle switch ignition on my t350 until my new key and ignition show up.
Does anybody know what colors wire to mate together in order to get a spark to bypass the switch. I've tried them all one way or another but no luck getting any spark.
So the ignition wires are grey orange brown and a heavier gauge for the battery. Any help is greatly appreciated. I just got the engine back in the frame and unseized and done up. I just wanna hear it fire up soooo badly
Thanks again, Dan

Any chance of that in English?
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

Joining the red and orange wires together will give you ignition and spark to the plugs.
Dan I had to edit your first post a bit as the spelling was a bit "out there"

I believe the T350 has an excited field alternator charging system just like the T500. So it needs a fully charged 12 volt power source to start and run the engine.

The T250/T350 alternator uses a permanent magnet rotor.
Some start & run fine without a battery. Others won't run good without a battery.

You may find your bike really difficult to start without a battery.

These bikes don't have a voltage regulator. They use the battery as a voltage regulator. So you should expect blown bulbs if you use the bike without a battery.

You can use a larger battery to test your rebuilt engine.
