idle changes with lights.

What would cause the idle to drop when I grab the brake and/or turn the headlight on??? Its a gt380 With a 550 headlight. It works with one or the other doesnt need to Be both On.

the battery is fairly new from looks... (the bike is new to me as of july)
i pulled the battery out and put it on the meter ... 12.6
the terminals on the battery have no real corrosion. i didnt really inspect the harness connection.
ill check into the regulator tomorrow with some daylight to see the make.
have been thinking of getting some upgrade electrical from oregonmotorcycleparts.com
