Ignition switch

Post by Coyote »

1975 GT550. I am thinking of replacing the stock gauge set with some aftermarket smaller ones on my cafe bike. How can I ditch the stock switch and convert to a simple toggle switch or two?
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.

Do you want to wire it with the headlight always on?
Want to keep the parking light setting that lights the taillight?

Or you could move the switch to say a headlight ear or under the tank with a little extra wire.

I like the idea of moving the switch. That way everything would function as normal.

Could also use the little bracket they had for relocating the T250/T350/T500 ignition switch to the upper triple clamp.
Looks something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Universa ... 0531299913

Saw them on eBay a while back. Good change Paul Miller has one.
