Hello
Does anyone have advice to the usability of these ignition kits that replace only the contact breakers with magnetic? sensors and keep the original coils and generator?

Re: T500 contactless ignition
Was just lookin into the unit listed on Knalnaarpotz. Am thinking about using it on a T500 project this winter.
They made mention of “SPARCON”.
With a bit of web searching I found it:
https://sparcon.nl/product/suzuki-t250- ... eking-set/
https://sparcon-nl.translate.goog/produ ... r_pto=wapp
Looks very similar to ignition systems sold for 4 stroke bikes. I would expect the Dutch ignition to be reliable.
The T500 has a pretty meager alternator. Before deciding on it, I’m interested in knowing the dwell angle.
The stock points ignition has a dwell angle of about 180 degrees. A much larger dwell angle will increase the ignition load on the alternator.
I just sent them an email asking about it. Will update you with their answer.

Re: T500 contactless ignition
Sparcon answered my email. The dwell is 180 degrees. So alternator load should not be a problem.
Am going to order the ignition for a T500. Not much info about ordering & shipping on their website. Send them an email asking about ordering from, and shipping to, the USA.
