When i push starterswitch nothing happens. It's completly dead. But there is power to the switch.
I got the problem for years now, and I want to fix it.
When I could use it, it was only functionel when engine was hot, not as cold. What,s the cause here?
Thanks for answer.

Hi Carlo. Just want to check. The starter motor does nothing at all? Not even spin over? I would start with the solenoid under the left cover. They can get very dirty and so power cannot get to the starter. You can check by connecting one lead of a multimeter to earth/ground and the other to the starter motor feed cable from the solenoid. Ignition on and press start button. You should get 12v. If not remove solenoid and clean terminals. I have attached photos to help

+1 on the solenoid. It’s a common starter problem in older cars.

Re: gt 550 75 startermotor dead
Hi GTandcbr.
Few days ago I pushed the switch, there was only a sound like a short "click". Everytime I pushed. In the last time there is nothing atall. I have a multimeter but never used it. I'l try to figure out this.
Thanks for answer and photos
