Hi and sorry to bug but I have the whole bike together and have lights ,signals and starter but no spark. I had it in the fall when I took it apart to re-do the engine. I am getting no juice at the points. Do I have the plugs in the correct positions. 2 are impossible to mess up but top right and very bottom ?

Ok. I have to assume that the plugs are correct. I reversed the top right and bottom and blew a fuse immediately. If I use my test light on the bike side of the plug for the points. 3 wires, white , black and black with yellow, the only one with power is the one at top right which has no wire going to it from the points plug side.

I would suggest to remove tank and check for power on the orange wires at the coils.
Power goes to ignition switch, then to right control kill switch, then to coils, then to points that ground out to complete circuit

I think I would pull the plug plate off, so you can compare wire colors on the back side of plate to front plugs, my 74 750 has the points plug at the top right, and the yellows from alternator on the bottom.
Although the hot wire in the plug without a wire, should be part of the neutral light circuit, so you should have the right plug.

I moved the points plug up to top right and have spark. I didn't put the generator plug in. It seems that I have a short in that system as it blows the fuse as soon as the key goes on. I guess that can be classified as a bit of success.

Sometimes when you resolve one problem, another one shows up
I would take a look at the green wire to alternator, the yellow wires deliver AC power from alternator to the rectifier when charging, otherwise they shouldn't be a culprit unless a diode in rectifier is allowing power bleed back.

Lo and behold. I didn't have the insulating washer on the green wire lead at the brushes. Put a rubber washer on it and no more blown fuses.
When in doubt, read the manual. I should listen to myself sometimes.....
