Anyone happen to know the size of the crank end where the alternator rotor fits?
The reason I ask is that I have a nice clean almost new MOTOPLAT self generating ignition system and the rotor is bored to a larger diameter than the usual Honda or Yamaha twin cranks. It works well with a Yamaha type rotor on the test jig, but it came with a larger bore, and I need to know what it fits so I can sell the thing.
I bought a couple of MOTOPLAT systems as spares when my son was racing our TZ350E. The bike went to a TX collector and the spare ignitions need to be turned into something more useful

Re: T500 crank nose
From what I see measuring the flywheel it looks like 17mm on small end, 19mm big end.

Re: T500 crank nose
Thanks, that's like a Yamaha twin and not like a GT750 which is much fatter. The rotor I have apperas to start at 17 mm and goes up to around 22mm at the big end.
