GT750 Gear indicator wiring question

Post by Willie »

After too many months away, I have returned to working on my Buffalo. I'm in the middle of replacing, improving upon or repairing the wiring. I noticed a wire missing from the 6 wire connector located near the headlight bucket that connects the wires that go to the gear indicator switch. The wire is the LG/R one. It is present from the connector to the indicator switch on the crankcase but not in the connector containing the wires from the headlight bucket/display. I don't recall ever having a problem with my display and would like to know if this is normal. Strange question, I know, but it has me wondering if there is an explanation.
I appreciate and look forward to any and all help I can get with this.

Lg/R is for 6th gear. So not having it is not a problem unless you have a GT380.
BAS (Bike Acquisition Syndrome) - too many bikes but have room for more
