Did you do any recent work on the bike?
The rectifier might be bad or you might have a short.
With the battery removed, use a multimeter to check the resistance at the connector for the battery.
Reverse the leads & check in both directions.

Re: 1970 T350 Box Standard Battery goes flat after connectio
Ok... i've been and gone and done it...I'm having a close look at the wiring..
It's all std Suzuki.
Main wires coming from generator/alternator amount to 7, I have White/Black/Green+White/yellow+green/green+red/black+white....and... a Green wire with either a white tube or a yellow tube that appears to have a broken connection on one end...Looking at my Haynes manual I can't find this wire at all.
The yellow and green had nearly worn through where it had been rubbing I've fixed that
Any help with the strange Green/tube wire at all??
As I say it's all genuine Suzuki wiring
