Hi fella's I have an oil seep from the gear position switch I have treid silicone etc but still no dice... I couldnt find a gt550 one but does anyone know if any other models fit ie. GS etc???

There's an O ring behind it, change it and all will be well (usually!!)
Silicone gasket stuff is OK in bathrooms, but it gets in all the little places you don't want it to on a bike.

Don't overtighten it. I thought the o-rings were bad, turned out I had a small crack in the plastic which was seeping oil out. Those dang switches aren't cheap....
