Suzuki t250, T350,T500 and ts models clocks remaufactured
Here in the UK we are having remanufactured the outer plastic bodies for the speedo and revcounter that were fitted to the early 70s T250, T350, T500 and the ts models ?,
these are the clocks that are completly black with a knurling toward the botton and a raised leather effect around the centre.it will come with the white inner shroud fitted so all you need to do is fit you own inner workings which is easy on these clocks and they will look like new,
Hope to have them for sale in a few months time.
can anybody confirm if the outer bodies on the TS models were the same ?

not really a coincidence I am sure there are many people looking at doing similar things around the world, just like I have been investigating oil line remanufacture and also looked at and priced valve manufacture as you have, but could not find a trust worthy way too attach to existing lines.

Re: Suzuki t250, T350,T500 and ts models clocks remaufacture
after removing the old check valves from the pipes there is a barbed effect on the valves that must match exactly with the barbed shape moulded in to the ends of the oil lines so although it is difficult to part them the new valves click back on easy then when you tap back on the outer collers they seal up just fine ,i have now done this many times and not had any leaks.
we also looked into having the oil lines manufactured but the set up costs to make copies of the originals was way to high .

There were two styles of those plastic bodies made. Although looking similar one type has a taller hood and subtle other little differences.
I wonder which one is being made.

Two strokes, its just that simple.

A repair or exchange service would be great!givemeagirl wrote:we also looked into having the oil lines manufactured but the set up costs to make copies of the originals was way to high .
Where you send in your existing lines & get them back with new valves.
I noticed you are a new member & we don't know who you are.
I hope this is real because you are getting our hopes up.

Sorry, but I will believe all this, after I have seen, how you are removing the old banjo from the oil line without destroying the oil lines connecting flange.givemeagirl wrote:after removing the old check valves from the pipes there is a barbed effect on the valves that must match exactly with the barbed shape moulded in to the ends of the oil lines so although it is difficult to part them the new valves click back on easy then when you tap back on the outer collers they seal up just fine ,i have now done this many times and not had any leaks.

I have done so on mine without breaking the lines in attempting to fix the leaky check valves.
Kawasaki 74 on Triples used Non serviceable check valves and these also can be removed and taken apart and repaired with a better success rate. Basically the same set up with the barbs. It can be done.

Re: Suzuki t250, T350,T500 and ts models clocks remaufacture
I don't think anyone disagrees that these can't be taken apart and then put back together. The point of discussion is what will the success rate be ? All you have to do is ruin the 5th one after successfully doing 4 to render a spider scrap.
On another note - has anyone tried these ones for the Kawasaki H1/H2 ?
My guess is that the ball and spring are likely to be close to the Suzuki ones - and this specific rebuildable style is the same as is used on the early T500's. Its eBay listing 200987511175.
