After photobucket became greedy a lot of its members simply left. I thought about it but did not worry to find another storage site to host the gauge photos on.
Recently I though about this again and decided to form a FB page to deal with the work directly. This way updates can be posted as they happen.

As long as you understand that many people will not go near facebook for various good reasons.
Photo hosting is easy to get for a minimal price, I use Imageshack, costs about A$30 a year -(and it's not a closed-shop pyramid scheme!).

I got the “you must log in to continue” message.
You can change your account config so that nonusers can see your page. I don’t have a Facebook account so I don’t know how this is done.
