The temp set up.
I bolted the stock rear end back on so I could ride for the last couple weeks of the season. Offset and CBR rear end for the winter.
I will tell ya that this thing makes one hell of racket!!!! Very fun to ride.

Just fininshed the Crazy Monster last night. Took the first "shake out" ride today. No issues, drove straight, drove GREAT!!!
1990 Softail Custom, 1340 EVO big twin, high compression pistons, cam upgrade, screamin eagle ignition, vance and hines short shot pipes w/heat wrap, 05 GSXR 1000 front end, 05 CBR600RR rear end, Biltwell tracker bars, CB750 headlamp, GSXR 1000 steering damper, forward controls, bobber seat, 1" offset primary, frame bobbed, braided brake, clutch and throttle cables, homemade shock linkage shackle, custom swingarm pivot bolt, custom swingarm bushings, machine work on top triple, estimated weight loss of 200lbs!!!!!! nicely MURDERED OUT!!!!!:rock:
All work, except for machining custom parts and motor work, done by me.

Hooverin right around 70" from axle to axle, if I recall correctly!!!
I been rippin it around yesterday and today. I am gonna need a chisel to get the smile off my face. The weight loss makes the torque feel that much more crazy. All the gixxxer and CBR suspension makes it glide like a racer and the brakes are off the hook!!! It is actually not bad in the corners!! I was carvin em up like a mad man today, I mean, as much as I could on a bike with a 70" wheel base!!!!
Super stoked I was able to get this thing together, it looks sick, and it actually WORKS!!!!!!

Your bike was looking sweet, I wish I lived near you, would have loved to see how you changed the frame, steering head and added Gixxer forks.

Not a scratch on me bro!!!
What happened..........a bunch of crap came together at one time, the WRONG time!!! Didnt hit anybody, didnt get hurt, bike was back int he driveway 10 minutes later!!!
All in all got pretty lucky.
Inspection of the bike so far reveals the front end to be straight as an arrow. Looks like I may get out of this for about 5 beans, if no big ugly issues pop up when I go to fire it up.
As far as what I did to build the bike.....didnt change the frame or steering head ay all. Had the Harley steering stem pressed into the gixxer lower triple and bolted the front end on. Upper triple needed a little machine work, but nothin crazy. The rear end bolted on with a custon pivot bolt, new bushings made for the swinger and a shackle welded to the frame for the lower shock linkage. Pretty straight forward. Also needed a one inch offset kit for the primary to achieve a straight chain line. Again, not very complicated. I never worked on or owned a harley in my life and I pulled it off myself. I did have a some help from a buddy who has worked on Harleys in the past. He helped me take the primary apart because you need some specail tools. After I watched him tear it down I was able to put it back together pretty easy using his tools.
Lookin better already. Got bars and controls back on. Waitin on a sporty king tank and other odds and ends.

I'm not a fan of what most people consider custom, the slightest. In fact, I'm very anti custom. But, I do admit the Cbr and Gixxer front end looks a little cool on that particular bike. You did a great job. Never imagined those thoughts crossing my mind in reference to any custom bike. LOL!

I went a little ape crap with the rebuild. Just when I thought it couldnt get any sicker.............
Sporty tank (left in the raw), open belt primary, new ride height (a little higher), better tailight and plate mount and sone other odds and ends.
