My other bikes....even some non suzuki 2 strokes

Post by busa1300 »

Some pics of my various projects........some even run at the moment. I usually save enough money to get one ready to run, then spend that money on a new project instead. Such as my new to me GT750J.....which needs quite a bit of attention to function even close to what it once did, before it was banished by someone 20-25 years ago.

Very nice collection. Aprilia RS250, RGV250 and NSR250 and a big Kat. Probably north of the border I'm guessing. Those RS250s are incredible bikes. 60 plus RWHP and mild mannered to boot. They respond well to selective assembly/blueprinting.

Yes, it's a fiberglass body of a 33 Plymouth, tube frame, Halibrand quick change, 18 spline HEMI 4 speed, 572 cu 871 blown HEMI......
All built by my dad, as his farewell dream car......He was able to put the first 5 miles on it, on a test run before he passed away less than a week later. Still needs to be finished up, but I'm a bike guy, so I'm having a hard time splitting my project finances on it and all my other bikes.

Damn busa, I'm sorry to hear that. Looks like your dad definately passed his mechanical abilities on to you though. Those bikes are beautiful!

Fired up my RZ350 and rode it for the first time this year, over the past weekend. Amazingly, it still feels as strong and still pulls as hard as it ever has. Rebuilt the motor after I twisted the crank in it's first 1500 miles.....
Stage III SPEC II porting and head work, welded crank, bigger reed valves, bigger carbs, Toomey pipes, clutch...gearing...suspension....brakes.... All have been upgraded in some form. Stilltrying to decide if I should leave the 1985 paint job I put on it (which still looks new) or repaint it back to original

Yea, I'm thinking that would be the best route to take also.....after I get a factory solo tail section, it's going back to white with red.
But not till winter.......

Wow.....Busa, your collection is superb ! You have some of my personnal favourites in there. I had a CBXz, 1979 model, in the early 80s. I loved that bike....so much, that I ended up buying it back 2 bikes later. How I wish I still had that now. After the 6, came a GPZ900R, which gave way to my favourite big bike of all time.....the GSXR11. I got one new in 87, and had 5 in a row until a TL1000 in 98. 2 of my slabbies were the 1100G model, in the best colours they did...same as yours. Totally superb bike in their day, and still look the dogs dangleys.
I had a GT750 too, before the CBX......and I love those little strokers.

Fabulous mate !
