we are staying at the Empress hotel on Douglas prom - sat 31/03 - tues 04/06. Look for a gaggle of Bimota's (DB3 / DB5R / DB6) and you have found us !

Kind words Geoff, thank you. The twin pipes did turn out well. I wanted the bike to have plenty of trick bits, but to be still obviously a T500.

Great news....I actually rode the bike today, for the first time since completing the build, and for the first time in about 30 years.
The engine was all good....no nasty smoke, so seals would appear to be good, and no strange noises. Everything all operational. I'm well pleased....TT here we come !

Not TT, but GP or nowadays Classic TT.
I'd like to go next year so does anyone have any advice regards accom, view etc. thanks.

Alan.....no worries about hi-jacking mate, anyone who wants to talk IOM is welcome. This year is my 25th TT, so I am qualified to give you some tips. We have a handful of first class spectator points to recommend.....always amazes me when I see the crap spots people view from. They clearly give no thought to it at all ! I have spent many hours scouting them out, with bike parking and access in mind also.
Regarding digs...it's never too early to be looking for that, bear in mind that the roads close for practice and race sessions, and there is only one crossing point in the whole 37 miles, at Braddan. Get booking your crossing as soon as the Steam Packet allow....you don't want to miss any action through late booking.

Although technical issues prevented the 750 Racetrack Refugee viewtopic.php?f=21&t=7835" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; from making the TT trip, I'm delighted to say the Alpina did, and it went well. In fact I only rode my R1 twice in the fortnight I was there. I do need the adjust the pilot jetting, but at full gas it goes lovely, and was much better suited to navigating the Island's nadgery back lanes than my super bike.
