Dave, that bike looks so much sexier without its tank seat and fairing. Underneath those big clothes is a slim sexy frame that looks much like a 74 TR750.

Did you get a chance to take measurements to see what you are thinking of doing to put the 2 together ?

I know there's a bit of room to play with around the swingarm pivot/airbox area on the GSX-R frame.
I wonder if the GT cases can be mounted a little higher or further back, taking into account the location of the output shaft, to mitigate the extra length?
To measure it all properly, I'll have to take the 1100 engine out , which with everything else going on at the moment, I'm loath to do.
I do have a spare set of GT cases and I'm in contact with a welding guru, so theoretically nothing is impossible...

Thats what i ended up doing with my project engine swap i raised the rear of the engine and tipped the front a bit down so it got the output sprocket in line with the swingarm and also had the exhaust ports tipped down a bit to reduce the angle the pipes had to make to curve under the engine .pjmcburney wrote:I wonder if the GT cases can be mounted a little higher or further back, taking into account the location of the output shaft, to mitigate the extra length?Suzukidave wrote:Did you get a chance to take measurements to see what you are thinking of doing to put the 2 together ?
