making the new gearbox oil filler - now relocated to the l/h side casing......
grooved for an "o" ring, which seals the casing, and another groove to locate the crankcase half-ring retainer........
in situ, where the water pump / rev counter shaft used to live...........
and this piece will be fitted into the l/h outer casing, with a filler neck (yet to be made) attached. The "o" ring seals the joint between the female (crankcase) and male (outer cover) pieces.........
like so.........

Re: XR11/73
a bit more work completed for the re-located gearbox oil filler.
the new, water-jet cut 12mm side casing, with hole cut for the male filling piece........
with the filling piece (loosely) fitted..........
the casing bolted in place.........
and how it will look once the filler neck and male piece have been cut and welded.......

Re: XR11/73
Hi,
I'm new to this group but have been following the posts on the Tr750 dry clutch build with great interest. I have just started building my own Tr750 and wondered if there are any further updates on the dry clutch Garry55 is building? I have a Gs750 gear set to install & instead of shortening the input shaft I thought I'd build a dry clutch & copy what has been done here if it's looking successful.
