Also search T350 under user name FANG. He built a sweet cafe styled T350 and had some good ideas. I think he used the stock pipes though. Sadly his build thread was lost (or maybe it's buried in the archives) with the last time this board was hacked. He had a webpage set-up to detail the modifications:

Yes popular post. I think the only thing he had extra was a 1.25mm bore (must have been Wiseco they made a 2.00, but need to ensure the intake bridge has no cast flaws making it to thin)

These bikes are fairly quick and can hold highway speeds all day and lug up hills.

Not much on how to mod T350/T305 out there. Street or Race

Another one I like is the popular Joe Eastmure if you have not seen it

http://www.ozebook.com/compendium/suzi/eastmure.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

He shaved 1mm off piston skirt and got busted for it. I am not in a stock race so I have gone
2mm off skirt and expansion Chambers

I think the T305 is the hot rod out of the two. Larger transfer passages in cyl and piston. But the later T350 head cools better I think and put that on my T305 and T350

I was going to use coneeng but just getting the cones rolled would have been over $400. I found a company out in Wisconsin that was going to roll them for $215, but then I bought a spare motor for my zx6r, a yds3 , found the rz350 pipes for $50 and just bought a kdx400 for a special project. I come home for break on Saturday so I'll hopefully be able to modify the pipes to the t350

Right so I got my gt380 collars and I figured I can just screw the gt collar on the head and then just weld 2 bolts to the gt collar and bolt up the rz exhaust. Now the only problem I've encountered is the catalytic converter. It seems I can not simply cut the tabs that I thought were holding them together and remove the cat but i must cut into the pipe. I guess I'll try it with the cat first and then cut into it if need be. Pictures will come soon

If you can see the cat from the end of the pipe you may be able to remove it by breaking it up , i have hollowed out a car converter with a piece of steel rod that was first driven into it and then it just breaks up into pieces .

There is a steel plate with 3 holes when you look down the exhaust, not sure if that can be broken up but I'll see if I can get a picture of that. Here is what I did and worked very well

they hang awfully low but I dont think ill be dragging knees anytime soon, I'm hoping they perform better. As far as sound goes they are quieter than stock (even though stock had no baffles, these do) but sound pretty good.

So I took her out for a spin, I dont know if its just the sound from the pipes but man did that thing get up and go, I mean the mid range really picked up, I need a tach to see where the powerband starts and ends but man what a rush.

Here is a video of it running, not sure why the quality is so bad since its from an iphone, I'm not good with new technology I guess

Took out the cat (one pipe only had it) and baffles welded on some cones and a stinger. cones and stingers weigh 4lbs together, the "baffles", muffler, or whatever you call it weighed around 5ish pounds each. I had no idea how loud it would be without silencers so I only road it up my street before i went deaf. Ordered silencers to hopefully make it rideable. No low range power at all, its literally a light switch when it hits 5 or 6k and will snap your head back if youre not ready for it like I was. $50 for the pipes, $40 for the cones and stingers, and some welding consumables. kind of ugly, really wasnt looking to build a beauty queen but worth the $100+ i think. dyno is the only way to find out

I'm not sure how to edit posts here but I got my silencers in the mail yesterday. A little bit of welding here and there and they work great. Not too loud or quiet

Image

Here it is all 'finished' need to smooth down the welds and throw some paint on the pipes and it won't look as horrid

well kinda bummed about this. never had the heads off to see the condition of the pistons until i realized the spark plug threading was messed up.
I'm not a 2 stroke expert but I have no idea what couldve caused that indent. Ive ridden it for 289 pretty much problem free miles.
At first i thought a great deal of carbon had built up on the piston so thats why i cleaned the top of just to make sure. nope. It stinks that its .5 over instead of a standard bore. $300 for an over bore set compared to $100 for standard.
I want to still run it but i dont think that would be a great idea. I guess its back to 4 strokes until next year

sorry for the weird spacing my computer is messed up

Are there any marks in the head as it almost looks like something bounced around in there ? But the piston is real thick in the top so i would say its still useable .

Nope no marks. That was the first thing I looked for but I saw nothing just some carbon build up. So just a new gasket and run it?

If it had a layer of carbon over the marks showing in the picture i would think this is old damage so if it was running good i would say a new gasket , fix the plug problem and button her up and have more fun
