Hey guys,

I've been lurking on the site gathering information since about September/October.

You guys are an awesome resource! Thanks for everything.

I've documented my build from the beginning.

Hopefully you guys like what I have to offer..

Cheers,

Justin

Nice writeup on your project with pictures to follow along  we dont see too many builds with the SSSA so this should be cool . SmokyAllan has a VF700 SSSA fitted up to a GT750 project frame so it will be interesting to see how these turn out .

single sided swingarm... i think the mismatched wheels will look sweet.

I really did try to find the matching front wheel, Honda F3, VTR1000, RC51 etc, but could never find one.

I got the R6, close enough at 5 spokes, and then no less than 3 or 4 matching rims pop up! Just my luck!

White wheels, White chassis ( both powdercoated) and then some sort of suzuki blue for the seat and tank.

If anyone has any suggestions, looking for a bright blue to really pop. (need a paint code)

That's quite a polish job you did there. I've trolled youtube for tips on how to do it and what to use but haven't had much luck myself. Maybe it's lack of patience. Wanna tell me what you did and how you did it?

I started with 200 grit sandpaper for the really bad stuff and then 400, then 600.

I got a cloth polishing wheel from Princess Auto/Harbor Freight for the bench grinder along with a polishing kit of 4 different compounds (red, white, brown & black).

Started from the most aggressive polish and worked my way up.

I probably have about 6 hrs into the polishing. If I wanted show quality, I would likely spend another 6 hours.
