Looks like you'll have a nice bike when you're done.
If you are keeping the side cover & oil tank, they might look best painted black.
Its tough competing against summer vacations & the middle of the riding season in the US & Europe.

Re: 1974 T500 cafe
thanks mate, the side covers were my idea of keeping something original, they will look better after i do the "500" and the silver underline in gold. the decals all match the side covers.

Re: 1974 T500 cafe
The rearsets are a combination of home made bits and bought bits. lots of things to make to get them to fit. oain in the arse. I would tell anyone else to buy the titan performance rearsets- save themselves the massive headache! thanks for the kinds words, it looks much better with the front fender on it now imo

Re: 1974 T500 cafe
Very nice! Last picture is definitely better than your first
How difficult was it to fit rearsets while keeping the stock pipes? From many of the pictures I've
seen the rearsets use frame-tabs devoted to the stock pipes. I still can't decide on a new set of
pipes or fixing up the old ones (some PO in the past tried knocking out the baffles or something
and there's a large chunk of metal clanging around in one of them). Seeing your bike puts another
check in the vintage pipes column for me. Thanks for posting!

Slow and steady may win the race, but without loud and fast it's just a waste
