Some Front End Mods - GT750M

Always liked the look of the GS with cast wheels, and I picked up a pair off eBay with new tires on them. So anyway, this weekend I had the forks off to fit RE5 damper rods so just for fun I slotted the GS front wheel on to see how it would look. I fitted the GT rotors to the GS wheel as the GS rotors are a smaller diameter.
The back wheel will be next but that means a disc brake conversion. Interestingly the GS750T (budget version of the GS) has a cast back wheel with a drum brake. Problem is the wheel is 17" so I am going to see if I can get the required diameter with a higher wall tire.

Over on the Facebook GT750 page Tore Grenasberg has written about his GT750 having the same rear wheel - his blog is here:

Other than possibly a clearance issue with the swing arm to be addressed, it seems like a simple change for the rear wheel - ground clearance might be an issue, but most of the after market shocks are longer than original, and as well the tire profiles are different so it may be a wash. 8)
