Since all of Dave's photos seem to be removed, I feel obliged to revive this thread. Forgive me if these are ones we've all seen already, thought those who haven't might enjoy.

So far, I think this one is my favorite:

I'm sure everyone remembers ctluba's build, never did find out what final fender/cowl/tail light combo he settles on..

Well since I'm on one huge GT550 fetish right now, guess I'll pick up the torch!

A GT750, this one's for you Dave, I'm sure you've seen it already though:

Hey Crag, I havent been around here in while, great forum. I ended up using a home made steel tail with a ZX6 rear seat I traded a guy for on custom fighter forum. Looks pretty good.

Bikie is runnin great, one kick every time!!!

I am having that charging / battery problem again though. Ride the bike for about an hour, can see the neutral light getting dimmer the longer I ride and then the bike cuts out because battery is dead. Had the same problem a year or two ago and I ended up taking the battery to the auto parts store. They tested it and said the battery was bad. I bought a new battery and the bike ran great again with no issues. But now it is happening again. The batterys in my other bikes dont go bad like this and I always take them out for the winter and put them o a bench in the cellar. I suspect the bike is not charging properly.

Is there a simple way to test the charging system?? I may bring it to a mechanic buddy as I am horrible with electronics.

Test voltage at the battery with everything OFF - probably 12.5-13v

Turn on ignition and see what the voltage drops to - probably 11.5-12volts

Start the bike and test voltage at idle and at say 3-4000 rpm. probably 13 v at idle and 14.5 at 4,000

If the voltage is say 12v OFF and drops to say 10V ON, the battery has died
If voltage doesn't rise to 13-14v running, the charging system is defective
