Just a shame you can return a 35 year old bike to practically Zero miles but you can't do the same for the owner

Cheers Zunspec
You've done your bike proud!!! Beautiful!!!!!

Correction on the GS alloy swingarm fitment.
The frame spacing at the pivot point is compatible, but the pivot axle is 16mm dia instead of the GT 14mm. The arm is 1 1/2 inches wider at the wheel, a full 3 inches longer wheelbase, and has a bayonet bottom shock mount, as opposed to the GT stud mount. And it's needle bearing pivot , instead of bushing. Noticeably lighter, though I'm not sure exactly how much. That covers it. Cheers.

Fred, that description sounds like it is right up my alley. We hand made my current swing arm and it is very heavy. I have read a few posts about the GS aluminum swing arm and figured I would need to get one soon and make the conversion. Dont know for certain if it will fit the 5.5 slick but it should be worth a try.

Swing by the house and take as many measurements as you want... Still attached to the bike though....

Hey Tom,

Hope you had a good Christmas. I am all done measuring and weighing the forks you loaned me. If they were only a bit shorter....they would save about 2 lbs. I will drop them back off at your house this week.

I had some trouble mounting the fork brace to the '75 GT250 outer fork tubes I have.

I guess Suzuki changed the design in 1977 on the "B" version and must have made a very slight change to the diameter of the tube tops where the fork brace mounts. Fast from the Past only sells the 77 and later GT380 tubes so I bought them and thought I met get lucky since they both use the same P/N. I will probably have to take a file to the tops and trim them down a tiny bit. Thanks for the triple clamp...I owe you for that.

Ive been watching your post on the reeds. Engine is looking great! Cant wait to see it in person...

If you haven't already figured it out, I pulled my spate swingarm down and did some measuring. It looks like it will" just" fit the 5 1/2 in slick, and if not, there is room for modification on the webbing to make the room. Straight line won't need that webbing there, anyway. Should be do-able, and light. Another magic ingredient in your quest for speed. Cheers, and hope you pound some Kawi's in 2010.

That's a fine looking Titan, Zunspec. That's really the only bike that looks good in that colour, IMO. :D

I was just out in the garage, tinkering, and I weighed the aluminum and the stock swingarms. Interesting....... the aluminum one is 3.6 lb lighter. You Can go ahead and have that quarter pounder with cheese before a race, with that bad boy on there. Cheers.

Fred, that sounds like a big improvement over stock but an even bigger improvement over my current swing arm. I'll have to start collecting up the parts during the course of this year and plan to make the change during next winter break.

Thanks Fred... 8)

Perfect GT750

Here is my idea of a perfect GT750....well, maybe not perfect yet but its getting there. When this bike runs 9.99, it will be perfect enough for me...
Anyway, here is a look from each side...

Kevin,

Is there enough ground clearance for the 250HP pipes we designed? Or did I just give the game away?..

Let's see how many we suck in with that outrageous suggestion.

Seriously though, how are you plans for 2010 progressing? You were trying different forks. Does that look like it might work?
