Here is one I haven't see before...nice hi-resolution GT750 Racer...

Dont know much about it. The post I saw it on was in Spanish.. wished I paid more attention when I was in school. I might have been able to read it.

According to DLRA site it belongs to Stephen Finn from Port Pirie South Aus. No other details on that site, but I did find more up to date pics of Steve Burnett who bought Bob Prior's GT750 at
http://www.dlra.org.au/profiles/391.htm I couldn't pull off the flash images. Anyone know how to garb them?

According to one post I found on the net, that bike reportedly managed 4 runs at Lake Gardiner at 138.653, 147.13, 133.214 and 149.377

You have to look closely but Stephens motor has one of Bretts reed intakes

I knew I recognized those Brett deStoop pipes and chin fairing but didn't want to believe that such an innocent looking bike could be so fast. Shannon let slip once that Brett had worked some magic on that bike and mad reference to adding reeds, but I though he meant the newer style. Those are the stealth type.

The fairing is presumably off to meet regs for the class he entered.

Did you get a chance to check out Steve Barnett's GT? It's interesting and set a previous record at 155mph

So Aussie GT's are faster than US ones... And why is that? It's time to redress the balance. Anyone for Boneville next year? Time to start is now I guess. Who has a rule book?

My first thought was XS650 Yamaha, but they have more bean holes. It looks more like a Honda CB250RS so it's probably a larger Honda. I checked a few from the era and most had a ventilated look, so it's probably not CB900 "Roller door".

The CBX etc at that time had Comstar type spokes in the disks, so it's not one of them either.

Time to ask him I guess or Shannon may know.

Ive scratched my arse and cant find any rotors with that style of holes or that amount anywhere to quickly identify them as being close to those ones. The closest thing i came to visuallyso far was a mid 70s CB200 but that not them either. If any of you guys reading this can shed some light id be very happy to know what bike they came off of.

Could it be as simple as them being stock GT, that the centers have been painted over, rivets, polished edges, and all? The pictures aren't all that clear in that regard. Just a thought. Cheers.

However what about these discs, what Yamaha are these off of.

Those look like XS650 yamaha twin wheels and disks.
