Time for an update.....

Have ridden this little 2 banger fairly hard over the last 6 months and so far it's gotten back home every time.........so far!

The only failures so far in the estimated 1000km's (no odometer) are:

Main engine mounting bolt broken.
I don't know if I over tightened it, metal fatigue (it is 44 years old) or the Zinc plating has had some effect but it broke just under the nut.
Not a huge issue as there was a spare at home.

Gauges
Speedo worked fine but the odometer failed not long after it was put back on the road combined with an erratic tachometer (and yes it was a new lubed cable).
Got a few priced locally for professionally restoring the gauges (my previous attempts were just cosmetic). Most of them were quoting around $600 AUD!!!! After searching the internet and I came across Classic Suzuki Parts NL. Emailed a bloke named Marcel. He communicated in perfect English and his service was second to none.

For both Speedo and Tacho NOS landed in Australia for $400 AUD. Got to be happy with that!
