I made some updates to the Repli-Racer in preparation for showing the bike at Fuel Cleveland custom bike show on 28-May-2016. Main changes were replacing the race bike only wiring harness (3 wires) with a modified stock harness so I would have functional headlight, brake light, horn, and charging system. I also replaced the seat with a diamond stitched pad, powder coated the gas cap, side stand, kickstarter, and horn in silver flake, and re-coated the expansion chambers with Chromex (aluminum-ceramic). The bike is now ready for the show.
Got the bike titled, plated and insured (I've learned I can claim ownership here in Michigan on a bike that has no title). I rode it last night for the first time in 4 years. The bike still has the race motor in it as I am still building up the street motor, so it doesn't have much power down low in the revs, but when it gets on the pipe...excitement!

How well does this rip through the gears? I really like the looks and build quality of this.

Re: T500 Repli-Racer Update
Considering the bike still has the race engine it really does rip up through the gears. Scott Clough Stage II ported cylinders, Crooks squish heads, 36mm carbs, lightened crankshaft, electronic ignition, it gets the job done.Jimroid wrote:How well does this rip through the gears?
I'm building up a more streetable engine, stock crankshaft but still ported with 34mm carbs, but should be more street friendly.
