I am an idiot! I had an epic pipe building failure. Pipes cleared the frame just fine. Cleared the footpegs just fine. Cleared the shifter just fine. I completely forgot about the kickstarter! DUH. I never had a good feeling with this pipe project with all the interruptions and lack of focus. The only good news is that my tapered headpipe trick works quite well. Dammit.

Kicker is already off and I will take the torch to it tonight. I hope this does the trick. I have never been satisfied with the wimpy kicker detent and was going to work on that any ways. Two birds with one stone maybe.

The Shoemaker Vintage T500 rearsets have the same problem with the kick starter. He modifies the kick starter to solve this problem.

Might be useful to take a look at his pics, which are on his website: http://www.shoemakervintage.com

Pipes are completed and bolted on. It was the best I could cobble together under the circumstances. Definitely not my finest work. I'll try posting pictures tomorrow.

That looks very good! I'm curious to hear how they will affect engine performance.

Track was supposed to have test/n/tune tonight, so I mixed up a fresh batch of fuel.I test fired it with the twin pipes.Bike sounds crisp and sassy, but felt rich in the middle just making one unneighborly short pass.I was loaded up ready for action, and then I got word racing was cancelled 3 hours before opening. I was hoping to have some results tonight. :(

Still raining and still working too much overtime. Any one interested in buying this? May part it out. Collecting dust in the garage. :wth:
